Kitchen Team Member - Kitchen

Camp Skyline is located in Almont, Michigan.  We think that when you put caring people together and help them to reach beyond the ordinary, great things happen. We take pride in what we do and know that each employee plays an important role in our camp community.  Our Kitchen staff fill the roles of providing fall, winter and spring guests groups with homemade meals and clean buildings to use, all with kindness and compassion. 

  1. Kitchen Team Members have an interest in whole food, from scratch cooking for all dietary needs. They are able to do self-directed work such as: cook, clean, and follow recipes.

  2. Kitchen Team Members will help prepare all food, serve, and clean up meals, and clean buildings following all ServSafe Protocols.

  3. Kitchen Team Members are hard working, independent workers that do what needs to be done while communicating effectively with all staff, including the Kitchen Leaders and Directors. They think outside the box to problem solve while giving and receiving regular feedback with a willingness to learn.


Kitchen Team Members will:

  • Work with all kitchen staff to prepare meals during the shift

  • Serve meals

  • Clean up after meals are served and do dishes

  • Clean dining areas and bathrooms in camp buildings as needed.

  • Work with others with kindness, compassion, and respect in a safe environment

Compensation is hourly, starting at $12 an hour or a weekly stipend including room and board at camp.
