Children ages 8 - 14
Saturdays September 15, October 20, and November 17
'Tis the month of September and therefore, time to get our Wilderness Club started again. It is a chance to explore the camp woods as they change from season to season. Activities this fall may include hiking, foraging, archery, tree and plant ID, gardening, farm animal care, catch & release fishing, canoeing, kayaking, fire-building, shelter building, tree climbing, and teambuilding on our low ropes course.
Now that our Assistant Director Erin will be leading the Wild Child program, Shana Henry, our program director will be taking the reins of the Wilderness Club, with the help of her daughter Jacinta. Wilderness Club takes place monthly on a Saturday. We will begin promptly at 1pm and finish by 4pm at the Skyline Dining Hall.
There will not be a sign up online this season, drop-ins are just fine. If you do plan on coming, please email an RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org so we have an idea of numbers. The cost is $10 per child, paid on arrival or at pick up (cash or checks written to Skyline). If it is your child's first visit to Wilderness, please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a form.
Please give the children a hearty lunch before they come, snacks will be unnecessary as we want to spend all of our time exploring (which may include foraging).
