General Summer Camp FAQs

(see right for some additional Special Needs Camp FAQs)

Tiered Pricing

Understanding that families have different abilities to pay, Skyline is offering a voluntary four-tier fee program.  You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family.  It is a “free-will” system; you pick the level that is comfortable and affordable for your family.

All campers receive the same experience no matter what they pay.  Any gap between the Full Price and the tier you choose is considered a campership that we try to make up for in donations.

Tier 1 – subtracts $445

(you pay $550)

This is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the full cost of operating summer camp programs.

Tier 2 - subtracts $295

(you pay $700)

This is our partially subsidized rate for those who can pay a little more but may not be able to afford the actual cost of camp.

Tier 3 - subtracts $145

(you pay $850)

This rate does not reach the full price of camp, but begins to cover more of the costs.

Full Price

(you pay $995)

This is our rate that more closely reflects the actual cost of camp, including wear and tear of the buildings and grounds.

When registering, you will see "coupon" codes which enable you to choose the tier that is right for you.

**Again this program is VOLUNTARY and in no way influences the experience campers will receive.  It only offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in supporting the actual cost of their camper's Skyline experience.

Special Needs Camp

FAQs

What sorts of needs do your campers have?

Our campers have a range of different special needs. No particular label or diagnosis is categorically ruled in or out. Skyline is physically spread out and hilly, so some physical limitations can be too much for the camper here.  We expect that campers are able to attend to toileting and showering mostly independently. We aim to meet with first-time campers before camp to make sure we have the right staffing and programming to meet the camper's needs.

Do you accomodate special diets/allergies?

  • Yes. You give the details on the health form, and we'll work with you to meet your camper's needs. PLease see the Special Diets and Allergies FAQ document

What are the staff ratios?

  • These camp sessions have about 30-35 campers, and are staffed by about 25 adults, including health-care specific staff.

An agency is helping to pay for camp. How do I proceed?

  • Register through this page here; you will be shown a "coupon code" AGENCY, which you can enter. A couple of steps further, you tell us the agency, amount, and whom to contact.
