Festival Admission: $6 per person (under 3 free) or $20 maximum per family


Pig Roast : $10 (ages 12+)   $7 (under 12)    (à la carte items also available)

Lunch includes a pulled pork sandwich, 2 side dishes, and a dessert.

12:30  Foraging Walk

Join Shana Henry for a natural treasure hunt among the beautiful plants at Skyline. You will hunt for black walnuts, autumn olives, wild and crabapples, ground cherries, sumac and hawthorn berries, sassafras, chicory, burdock, dandelion, nettles and more.  Bring your own basket, and get ready to harvest what the earth chooses to share with us that day!


1:30 Well, Naturally! 

Kay Huberty invites you to come for lots of fun served up with helpful tips for how to fight pesky conditions naturally.  From colds and coughs to tummy upsets and bug bites and more… there are natural, tasty and easy ways to feel better, and not only to treat various health challenges that your family may face, but also to prevent them!  Come ready to sample, laugh and learn!


2:30 Extending the Harvest

Katie Mozader grows and preserves the bounty of a huge garden for her family, and she will share with you some of her favorite ways to preserve fruits and veggies without canning.  You can save pears and apples in your own garage, and freeze green beans, kale and tomatoes all winter long!  


3:30 Cooking Demonstration

Watch Skyline’s Food Service Manager, Kendra Erard, make fresh salsas from the bountiful tomato crop of the season.  Get a sneak peek at the cooking classes Kendra will be offering beginning October 4th, 2017.  Tastes and recipes will be there for you!

Children’s Activities

Strawbale rolling & climbing, Pumpkin rolling & bowling, Corncob Shuttlecocks, Needle in a Haystack, Apple Ringtoss, Gourd Golf, Face Painting (extra charge) and more!


Pony rides offered by Red Tail Acres (waivers can be filled out onsite)

$8 one rider  Family Discounts:  $15 for two riders or $20 for three riders

Michael is a camper here at Skyline, known for his musical skills, his willingness to lend a helping hand and his kindness to everyone. Michael is an incredible guitarist with an amazing voice.  


1:00  Ted Strunck & friends   Folk Music

Ted has been inspiring children at Upland Hills School in Oxford for decades with his easygoing, “let’s make some music and enjoy each other” attitude. Ted writes songs for community building, justice, the environment, and for school musicals and is a master of improvisation.


2:00  The Shannon Irish Dance Company   Irish Dance

Based out of Rochester Hills and known for its highly energetic performances and uniquely innovative choreography. Under the direction of Sophia Schoch-Wyzgowski, members of the company bring to their audiences the graceful beauty of jigs and reels, and the captivating thunderous sound of hard shoe in a traditional and contemporary form, ignited with a modern and whimsy flare. After their performance, the dancers welcome audience participation in the Ceili dances, so get ready to dance!


3:15   Libby Decamp   Folk & American Roots

4:30  Skyline camp staff   Camp Songs & Folk

Singing is something we do every morning and every evening at camp. All year long these songs bring that same camp feeling of unity wherever they are sung. So join us for some camp songs and feel the Skyline welcome.

Lumberjacking  (need to contact us before the day...)

Help us clean up the woods, and heat your home and ours. We have firewood aplenty to share, but we need help with the labor.  We’ll be taking wood out, cutting and splitting, take a truck load for yourself and leave some for us.  LOTS of free wood for your help!
